Finley-Approved 'Pup'-cakes!

Today was Finley's first birthday!
As any mother would, I felt obligated to make him something special.
Behold the pup-friendly 'pup'cake!

Judging by the look on his face, he looked excited to get a taste!

By the way, these are safe for people too, but weren't too well received by the people I tried to feed them to.

1st Birthday Pup-Cakes
Ingredients:
4 cups old fashion oats
3 strips of bacon (I chose low-sodium)
1/4 cup of honey
1 small sweet potato

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
2. Cook bacon until crispy
3. Set bacon aside on plate lined with paper towels, and let cool.
4. When cool, cut bacon into tiny pieces
5. Cut sweet potato in half and microwave for 5-8 minutes depending on side.
6. Remove skin from sweet potato and mash in bowl.
7. In a medium mixing bowl mix oats, bacon, honey, and sweet potato until combined.
8. Line a muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners and scoop mixture into liners - filling them to the top
9. Bake for approx 20 minutes or until tops are golden brown
10. Let cook before allowing your pup to enjoy!

Refrigerate left-overs (if there are any!)

Here is a simple starting point in recognizing opportunities: Give a smile or hug to those who need them. Say "I love you" or give a kiss to those who deserve them. Laugh or shed a tear without embarrassment if you are genuinely moved. Pay attention when the situation requires you to do so. By putting into practice, less will go unnoticed and travel beyond our reach.
